Great news! McCain picks Palin!
John McCain has picked Sarah Palin to be his running mate. This is good news for the Obama campain. Why? As V-P, the experienced Palin would be a heartbeat away from the Presidency. McCain will no longer be able to attack Obama for “lack of experience” because look at who he picked!
I have a feeling that while McCain is looking to Palin to solidify the conservative vote, he may also be trying to get the disgruntled Hillary voters who wanted a woman President. I doubt it will work. Palin is far too conservative (being pro-life and anti-gay) to attract Hillary supporters.

She is also a hunter who kills moose and bear and wolves but is completely anti environment in her voting record. She wears fur, thinks leg traps are just fine, and even though it was against the law to ‘hunt’ wolves and bears from airplanes, she changed the wording to ‘control’ and sent out the private planes anyway. Since she has been in office it has been an absolute slaughter of Alaska’s predators. All this so there is more moose and caribou for the hunters to kill. She has bear skins and stuffed heads and animals in poses all over her house. NOT one of us!
Anti choice, anti gay, anti sex ed, anti stem cell research, anti animal, anti environment, in lock step with McCain on the ‘trickle down’ economics that has hurt the middle class so much. NOT someone who has the same values as Hillary supporters.
And I believe, if reporters do their job, it will come out that Bristol IS the mother of the baby you see her holding all the time. There is no other explanation for keeping a girl out of school for 5 months without hospitalization. Mono does not last more than a few weeks. A teenager too sick to go to school for 5 months should have been tested for leukemia and a dozen other serious illnesses. Leaving Bristol to languish so sick she could not attend school, without expert doctor’s care for 5 months, (though she did get in a little fender bender during that time she was too ill to attend school) would make Sarah Palin a horrible mother. OR if Sarah was really pregnant, (somehow without any belly at all though in her other pregnancies she was huge), and was giving birth to a Downs baby, 1 month premature, and STILL got on a plane after her water had ruptured for 10-12 hours, she is truly a horrible mother. OR she was in a hurry back to the little local MedCenter where her doctor is her friend and was hush hush delivering Trigg for Bristol. At that time Sarah was not up for VP and I believe she thought she could put this over on Alaska voters, since she is determined there be no sex ed in her schools and this would have been the perfect example for those who know better to show why ‘abstince only’ as ‘education’ is just plain stupid.

Oh, you have no argument from me that when it comes to policy that Sarah Palin has it dead wrong.
However, on the tabloid-like story that Bristol is really the mother of Trig, I don’t think the math works out with the new Bristol pregnancy. Trig was born April 18th. Bristol is currently 5 months pregnant (meaning the pregnancy would have started around the 1st of april) Unless you want to believe that they are going to go as far as to fake a miscarriage, the numbers just don’t work out and I really think Bristol should be left out of this mess.
The focus here should be on Sarah Palin and her extremely poor decision making skills when it came to the end of her pregnancy. You are not supposed to fly that late into your pregnancy. You should be going to a hospital and not the airport if you are having complications.
What other bad decisions will she make elected as vice president or if she ever has to assume the Presidency? That is what concerns me, not the tabloid like issues and not the poor girl (Bristol) who cannot help that her mother is in the public eye.
