Illogical criticism of Obama by Republicans
Friday, June 20th, 2008Republicans are criticizing Obama for not taking public funds this election.
Let me repeat that, just in case it didn’t sink in.
Republicans, including McCain, are criticizing Obama for not taking public funds this election.
Once more for good measure.
Republicans, who tell us that people should not rely on the government , who tell us that there is far too much government spending, who often speak of the free market and how the best results take place in one, and who tell us that campaign finance reform is a restriction of the first amendment right to free speech, are criticizing Barack Obama for only relying in his ability to collect campaign contributions and not relying on the government or public funds to do any campaigning.
Am I the only one who is seeing the irony in all this?
If Barack Obama feels he has a better chance at victory in the fall by refusing public funds then I say more power to him!
